Ancient, 2000 years old Roman glass eye bead, excavated in Djenne, Mali, West Africa. This bead and others like it have long been traded along the Sahara trade route, The Silk Road. This is the best Roman eye bead I've ever had! Condition is excellent, multi-color is rare, the size is quite large, and there are 28 "eyes". Nice two-tone greens, brick reds, and white eyes. Core is a brick red. Hole is about 3mm. 18mm diameter x 14mm tall. Unique and collectible with minor wear.
